They do not separate soul from body or heart from mind. In coming to understand the impetus behind these methods and their grounding in the feminine energy, we can also see the energetics of healing for the 21st century as it begins to take shape and form.

Julia Hope Price, M.A., is an accomplished writer, painter, herbalist, and teacher, who presently employs all of these disciplines as Director of Sierra Dove Global Association, an educational non-profit (see www.sierradove.org for details), and Divine Imaging, a holistic health company that creates and distributes an advanced line of herbal/nutritional supplements (www.divineimaging.org).

After acquiring a BA and MA in English Literature with Honors, Julia taught literature and writing at the high school and university levels. During this time, she was instrumental in creating literacy and arts-in-education programs for both intermediate and secondary schools. Her textbook Reflections: A Thematic Reader, published by Houghton-Mifflin, Boston, 1984, is an outgrowth of the years during which she taught language classes at the University of New Orleans.

Julia has painted professionally for more than twenty years and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationwide. She received her training from the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts in the 1990’s. Since that time, she has gone on to receive many national and international awards, including the Eclipse Medallion Award at an international painting exhibition held in Vancouver, Canada, and Best of Show among Southern Representational Painters in 1996. Her paintings have been accepted for exhibition in several museum shows, and are well represented in significant private collections in the United States and abroad. Julia currently exhibits her work at Carol Robinson Gallery in New Orleans.

In her capacity as Director of the Sierra Dove Global Association, Julia has been instrumental in developing programs that address issues of pressing social concern, such as the plight of the homeless and educational reform. She has a special interest in creating literacy programs for at-risk youth and non-pharmaceutical approaches for assisting children with learning disabilities. As Project Director of the ALPHA Literacy Program, Julia has implemented the first program of its kind in the nation, and is currently engaged in expanding ALPHA from New Mexico to urban areas across America.

Along with Jozef Dominguez, Julia is co-author of the Renaissance of Spirit book series. The first of these is Remembering Wholeness. The second in this series, The Golden Thread is due for release in the fall of 2004.

"Remembering Wholeness"

by Jozef Dominguez & Julia Hope Price

Remembering Wholeness examines the energy of the Divine Feminine as it is reflected in the healing arts. This is part of a larger definition of healing, one that includes the spiritual aspect of our being. It is a way of considering health that has been lost to us for some time and which we are only now beginning to remember. In a sense, the story is told through many eyes, through the eyes of those who have learned to see with more than the usual degree of spiritual sight. Insights into the process of remembering wholeness come not only from the authors but from many others as well.

The modalities explored in these pages engage the individual in the healing process spiritually, emotionally and mentally as well as physically. They do not separate soul from body or heart from mind. In coming to understand the impetus behind these methods and their grounding in the feminine energy, we can also see the energetics of healing for the 21st century as it begins to take shape and form.

An added feature of Remembering Wholeness is an interview with Jozef on the subject of natural healing modalities and the direction of the energetics of healing for the 21st century.
